This project challenged teams to research and design a prototype device that used a voice interface and could account for the user's social setting. Our research included interviews with gym users, direct observation of how people used the gym and a competitive analysis of other devices designed for use in the gym.
We developed the Vfit information architecture based on concepts derived from our user research. At the same time we ran 'speed-dating' user enactment sessions to test the validity of each concept and revised the design accordingly.
Our team produced the video sketch below to illustrate how Vfit would function in a gym setting and how it could adapt to different user needs and preferences.
